Simple Rules in Golf - please

The R&A and USGA have announced major changes in the Rules of Golf from 2019.
The aim is to simplify the rules.
The two organizations have gone far - but have they gone far enough?

There is an official call for feedback, ideas and suggestions.

This blog has the intention to help in this process. The idea is to be a free platform where you can share ideas and thoughts with golfers from all over the World.

Think out of the box! - and share your thoughts.

Look at the proposals in the menu to the left - please comment - and feel free to add new ideas.
New ideas will be included in the menu for further development and discussions.

Ideas and suggestions will be summarized and forwarded to R&A and USGA before the 31th of August 2017 - the last date for feedback on the 2019 revision.
But good suggestions will allways stand - and might inspire a further simplification of the rules and/or other forms of play both now and in the future.

Logically the R&A and the USGA are bound to be very precise in finalizing the new rules. And it is fair to say that one must expect (and respect!) a certain conservatism on their behalf. This does not apply to this blog. We provide suggestions and comments - and let the experts evaluate and perhaps integrate.

The suggestions are based on input from referees, committee members and others with knowlegde of the rules.

On their behalf
