One of the aims of the new revision is to speed up the play!
A revolutionary way to do this, is to define a new game: Stableford Quick
Stableford allows you to take a "no-score" before the hole is finished - it could institute quick-play-rules like:
Out of bounds - no-score
Lost ball - no-score
Unplayable ball - play as it lies or: no-score
Ball in penalty-area (water hazard etc) - play it as it lies or no-score
and??
NEW: The 2019-rules defines a new (brutto) stroke-play -play allowing to set a max of strokes on a hole. Ex: max. 3 strokes above Par. Good Idea! It will speed up play and perhaps support more (brutto) stroke play matches. The Golf World plays far to many Stableford Matches!
